Checkdown: football broadcasting software

Friday night graphics, run by one person.

Checkdown puts a broadcast scorebug, halftime screens and instant highlights on your OBS stream, and you run all of it from your phone.

Windows and OBS Studio. No credit card for the trial.

Fifteen football scorebugs.

Pick the one that fits your broadcast. Every look uses your teams' colors and logos, and you can switch any time, even mid-game.

The Split scorebug look

Every sport you stream.

Basketball, baseball, softball, soccer, wrestling and volleyball, plus swimming & diving, track & field and cross country meets, and cheer, dance and other competitions. Each sport has its own scorebugs, Game night controls, player stats and animations, and keeps its own settings, so switching sports never changes your football setup. Run the game

Fifteen scorebug styles, a clock you start with the spacebar, down and distance, flags, timeouts, and a touchdown animation in each team's colors.

Halftime

Fill the break

Halftime score and line score, a sponsored halftime show bar, and first-half highlights cut from your replays automatically.

Final

Close it out

Final screen with updated records, player of the game, postgame highlights, and a final-score image ready to post.

What makes Checkdown different.

Other tools put a scoreboard on your stream. Checkdown runs the whole broadcast, so one person can do the job of a crew.

One person, whole broadcast

Score, clock, screens, sponsors, replays and OBS, all from the phone in your hand. Everything you'd need a second or third person for is one tap away.

Highlights without editing

Every replay you save is trimmed to the snap automatically and tagged with the quarter. Play first-half and postgame highlights right in the broadcast.

Sponsors that renew

Sponsors on every screen, from the timeout banner to "halftime presented by", and a report of exactly how long each one was on air to show at renewal time.

It knows your season

District standings, records, schedules and the last time these two teams met, pulled from your state association. No typing them in.

It runs OBS for you

Stream health warnings, studio mode with a Take button, mute and show sources, and Instant replay that cuts to your replay scene with your own transition.

Logos that belong on air

Upload a sponsor logo with no background and Checkdown gives it a color-matched backdrop. Team colors flow through every graphic automatically.

Works at any stadium

Checkdown runs on your computer, not the internet. Only your stream needs a connection, and your license works offline.

Questions.

What do I need to run it?

A Windows 10 or 11 computer with OBS Studio. The installer sets up everything else, including adding Checkdown to OBS.

What happens when the trial ends?

Checkdown asks for your license key. If you'd rather wait, it keeps working as a limited version: the Split and Clean scorebugs, no custom colors, sponsors on the main scorebug only, and a small trial mark on the stream. It never blocks a broadcast, and a key unlocks everything again.

Who qualifies for education pricing?

Schools and school media programs. You'll verify a school email address with a one-time code. Most school addresses are recognized automatically; others are reviewed, usually within a day.

Can I move my license to a different computer?

Yes. Enter your key on the new computer and the license moves there; the old computer switches back to trial mode. Your teams, sponsors and settings come along with Checkdown's export and import.

Do I need internet at the stadium?

Only for your stream. Checkdown and your license work offline.

I lost my key.

Enter your email on the renew page and we'll send every key you've bought to that address.
